Planning

Planning the Implementation

Goal:
Develop an implementation project plan

Steps:

  • Appoint the PC Bennett Professional Project Manager
  • Select a client project team and leader
  • Gather and review master records
  • Document key processes and requirements
  • Identify potential gaps, risks and solutions

Deliverable:
Implementation Project Plan

Design

Finalize the System Design

Goal:
Translate documented requirements into a prototype system to finalize the design.

Steps:

  • Establish initial system configuration settings
  • Define user roles
  • Document system procedures
  • System orientation and walkthrough

Deliverable:

  • Customized prototype system
Setup

Setup | Development of System Configuration

Goal:
Prepare the new system environment for system deployment.

Steps:

  • Customization (if required)
  • Configuration of the go-live system
  • Simulation of a live environment
  • Design structure of end-user training

Deliverable:

  • Configured system ready for training and testing
Develop

Develop | Execute Deployment

Goal:
Put the system into full production and start realizing the benefits.

Steps:

  • Execute final user acceptance testing
  • Complete user training
  • Load static and dynamic data
  • Validate and balance against the legacy system
  • Start using it

Deliverable:

  • Go Live
Support

On-Going Support

Goal: Optimize system use and transition the project team.

  • Steps
    • Convert the Project Team to the IT Advisory group to guide additional system-related initiatives
    • Identify areas for additional improvements and develop solutions
  • Deliverable
    • Fully functioning system as per plan
    • PC Bennett handoff from implementation team to client support team
